Here, amidst the pixels and paragraphs, allow me to introduce myself. I am Dev, a soul fueled by a lifelong love affair with the art of photography.
From the moment I first held a camera in my small hands, I was captivated by its power to freeze time and immortalize fleeting moments. As a child, I would eagerly accompany my family and friends on adventures, armed with my trusty disposable camera, eager to capture every precious memory that crossed my path.
Each click of the shutter felt like a magical incantation, weaving stories from light and shadow, transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary treasures. Whether it was the golden hues of a sunset painting the sky or the candid laughter of loved ones echoing through the air, I reveled in the beauty of the world as seen through my lens.
As I grew older, my passion for photography only deepened. I told stories through broadcast journalism in my teen years winning national student awards and later student stories for my university. It was in college where I bought my very first (working) 35mm film camera, a Cannon A-1, that I began to devour books on the art form, study the works of master photographers, and embark on my first journey into a navigating a Darkroom. During this time I found, through the nostalgia of film, there were high and lows and triumphs and challenges, but with each new photograph, I discovered a piece of myself reflected back at me—a storyteller, an artist, a dreamer.
Now, as I hit my peak mid-twenties, my love for photography burns brighter than ever before. Through this blog, I invite you to join me on a journey through the lens—a journey filled with wonder, discovery, and the unbreakable bonds of shared passion.
